Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello second graders!  My name is Mrs. Hanson and I'm so happy to be your teacher this year!  This is my 5th year at Gatesville Elementary and my 13th year of teaching.  I grew up in Bowie, Texas and I've had the great opportunity to live and teach in many states since my husband was in the military.  I graduated with my BS in Education from Peru State College, Nebraska and I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Spalding University, Kentucky.  We have three children.  My oldest two both graduated from Gatesville High School and now attend Abilene Christian University and my youngest is a senior this year.
