Summer School for Second and Third Graders will be held at Gatesville Intermediate School this June. Elementary students are asked to be dropped off and picked up on the back side of the building, using the 27th St. entrance. Look for the sign!
Information and instructions regarding the Community and Student Engagement (CASE) survey were sent home with students this week. We ask you to please participate in the survey that gives you the opportunity to evaluate the Fine Arts, Wellness & Physical Education, Community and Parental Involvement, 21st Century Workforce Development, 2nd Language Acquisition, Digital Learning Environment, Dropout Prevention, and G/T programs at Gatesville Elementary. Please complete the online survey by June 4.
Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00, awards will be presented to third grade students in Sonntag, Clark, Shoaf, Derrick, and Perez's classes. On Wednesday, June 3, at 9:00, awards will be presented the third grade students in Rhymes, Robledo, Melton, Eary, and Stephens' classes. At 10:30 on Wednesday, June 3, students in Anders, Altum, Pesch, Preciado, Goodwin, and Smith's classes will receive their awards. Second graders in McWhorter, Gonzales, Vanelli, Phillips, Marris, and Wolff's classes will be presented with their awards at 1:00 on Wednesday, June 3.
Due to construction, the Gatesville Elementary Fun in Sun Field Day will be held on Tuesday, June 2, at McKamie Stadium. Activities, under the direction of Mrs. Byrom and Coach Keeton, will begin at 8:30 and continue through 11:30. Students will move from station to station for big fun in the sun!
Mrs. Sweeney is preparing each class for their Spring Sing performance on Wednesday, May 20. Third grade classes will perform at 10:00. Second grade classes will perform at 1:00.
Mrs. Erwin, our Elementary Librarian, is hosting a Buy One Get One Free Book Fair at Gatesville Elementary. Book Fair hours will be 8:00 through 3:30 each day. This is a great opportunity to stock up on books for summer reading!
